Parsing Resumes from Ms-Outlook

 

How to parse resumes from MS-Outlook?

  • Click on Outlook Parser Tab, following page will be displayed.

       

  • Click on button to get list of folders of MS-Outlook.Select Folder dialog box will display.

         

  • Select the mail folder (which contains the candidate(s) resumes) to be parsed.Click on OK button.It will ask the permission & time to access the User's MS-Outlook.

         

  • Click on Yes button. You will see all the mails on the left panel and mail text on right panel in Mail Content box.

Note: In case you want to parse only mail contents, then don't select the attachment. In case you want to parse attached resume with the mail contents, you need to select the mail and click the attachments button, you will see the resume attached along with the mail.   

 

              

  • Click on  button, Resume parsing will start. I f resumes are successfully parsed, It will display the successfull parsing message as below.

                    

  •  It then shows the parsed candidate information in corresponding fields of Parsed Content part of the Outlook Parser as follows.

       

  • You can check the parsed information, You can modify or update any information shown in various tabs before submitting to the database. The parsed candidate information is saved in the database by clicking on  button; following message will be displayed on successful submission.

        

Resumes are now transfered to database. You can now perform the search and take and export dump of the candidate database. Click on Export Candidate Info Tab in Resume Parsing Utility to move ahead. Click Search & Export Candidate Infomation to see the help.

 

Note: In case resume is already in database, following  message is displayed 

       

Incase you see the above message, you need to click on  Duplicate Files Tab in parsing utility to take an appropriate action. Click Handling Duplicate Resumes page to see the help.

Duplicate resumes are those resumes, which were parsed earlier and you tried parsing them again. This may be because of the following reasons:

  • Unknowingly you are trying to parse the same resume again.
  • Candidate has sent the updated profile and you want to change/update his previous profile with newer information.
